Saturday 12 September – Club Outing
Dharawal National Park, Wedderburn and Mt Annan Botanic Garden.
Meet at 9:00 am at the carpark for Dharawal National Park at the end of Victoria Road, Wedderburn. Take the Narellan Road exit off the M5 Motorway and turn left towards Campbelltown. At the 4th traffic signal, turn right into Appin Road. At the 3rd traffic signal, turn left into Woodland Road and then turn right at the T-intersection into Karrabul Road which becomes Wedderburn Road. After about 10 kms, turn left into Victoria Road, Wedderburn. An easy 2.8 km return walk to O’Hares Creek Lookout. Lunch at cars. Book via activities@birdingnsw.org.au

Wednesday 30 September – Midweek Outing
Davidson Park, Roseville
Meet at 8:330 am at Davidson Park picnic area at Roseville. Entry to Davidson Park is from the south bound lane of Warringah Road only. If heading north across Roseville Bridge, it is best to drive to the top of the hill, turn left into Forestville Avenue, left again into Arthur Street, turn around somewhere safe, and then turn right at the Arthur/Woodland Streets lights back onto Warringah Road to head back down the hill. Turn left just before Roseville Bridge, following the sign to the boat ramp. At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn right and follow the road around as far as it goes, stopping at the toilet on the way if necessary. National Park entry fee of $8 applies unless you have a NP pass. Bushland and river foreshore Approximately 3 kms on a wide bush track. Lunch at cars. Book via activities@birdingnsw.org.au

Narrabri District.
There is a wide range of accommodation available in Narrabri including Highway Tourist Village but it should be booked early to avoid disappointment. Camping is also available in Narrabri or at Kaputar NP. Meet at 8:30 am on Saturday morning at the turnoff to Pilliga Forest Way and the Newell Highway which is 27 kms south of Narrabri -30.518982, 149.624018 or at Schwager’s Bore. Christmas 2026 to New Year 2027 Club Campout
Kosciusko National Park.
A campout has been arranged for the Christmas – New Year period at Jindabyne. Temperatures will be pleasant because of the high altitude and nights will be cool for sleeping. There will be bird watching trips to nearby areas at Thredbo and Perisher. Some target birds will be Olive Whistler and robins including Pink Robin.
Some members have already booked cabins at the Discover Parks Jindabyne for 27th, 28th and 29th December. Camping is also available. You are welcome to join us. Booking in advance is required by emailing activities@birdingnsw.org.au
